Dr. Karri Bryant is the Spring Refresh We Did Not Know We Needed!

Spring is the season we talk about cleaning out our closets and swapping our skincare routines. But Dr. Karri Bryant showed up on the Tamron Hall Show on March 24th and reminded us that the most important refresh we could do this season has nothing to do with what is in our medicine cabinet. It starts in our mind.

As part of Tamron Hall’s ongoing Spring Refresh series, Dr. Bryant appeared in the segment titled “Spring Refresh: Mindset” to help viewers do exactly what the title says: reset their thinking, reclaim their confidence, and step into this new season with intention. And if you know anything about Dr. Karri Bryant, you know she was the perfect person for the job.

Ms. Karri wears many hats: pastor, author, speaker, first lady of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, and wife of Pastor Jamal H. Bryant. But what makes her voice so compelling is that she has never allowed any one of those titles to shrink her. She is a woman who has consistently chosen to show up fully, unapologetically, and with purpose, and that energy was very much present during her Tamron Hall appearance.

The segment focused on mindset shifts and confidence building, which feels right on time for where so many of us are. We are coming out of a heavy winter, navigating all of the noise that life brings, and honestly, some of us just need someone to speak directly to that place inside of us that has been playing it small. Dr. Bryant has a gift for doing exactly that.

“I have decided that the title does not define me. I define what the title is.

A Mindset Refresh That Hits Different

The Spring Refresh: Mindset episode also featured Love Is Blind star Jessica Barrett, who opened up about the emotional weight of being body shamed by someone she trusted, and triple board-certified neurologist Dr. Leah Croll, who broke down the science of neuroplasticity and how our brains are actually wired to change. It was a powerful lineup, and Dr. Bryant’s presence gave the whole conversation a spiritual and emotional grounding that you simply cannot manufacture.

For those of us who are women of faith, there is something deeply meaningful about seeing a woman like Dr. Bryant in a mainstream daytime space talking about confidence and identity. She is not just a talking head. She has lived the message. She has walked through public scrutiny, social media criticism, and the impossible expectations that come with being a first lady in the Black church, and she has come through it with her head high and her spirit intact.

That is the kind of mindset refresh that goes beyond tips and affirmations. It is the kind that comes from actually doing the work.

What This Season Is Asking of Us

Spring always feels like permission. Permission to try again, to start over, to let go of what the last season cost us. But Dr. Bryant’s appearance on the Tamron Hall Show reminded me that permission is not something we need to wait for. Confidence and clarity are not things we find after we do everything right. They are what we build as we go.

f you missed the episode, find it and watch it. Take notes if you need to. Because whether you are refreshing your home, your wardrobe, or your routine this spring, the foundation of all of it starts with how you think about yourself.

And Dr. Karri Bryant, as always, said it better than most of us ever could.
