The Refined Glow was founded by Beatrice — Ms. Bea — a women’s empowerment speaker, media personality, and lifelong lover of faith, fashion, and the stories that remind us who we were made to be. Born in the Mississippi Delta and shaped on the southside of Chicago, Ms. Bea came to her voice the way most women do — by watching, learning, and finally refusing to stay quiet. Her love for high end fashion was born watching her older cousins and aunts move through a room with quiet luxury and timeless elegance. That love deepened watching Jackie Kennedy, Dynasty, and Princess Diana — whom she shares a birthday with. Her love for media was born watching the legendary Diann Burns own the Channel 7 news desk with grace and authority. And her mandate has always been the same: Matthew 5:16.
